From my perspective everything about Linux is too complicated. I'd switch in a heartbeat to Linux from crap-o-soft if I could use it without having to think (i.e. have a masters degree in Linux to use it)

I used Startpage (anonymous Google search) to search for uBlock and the first hit at the top of the page was for uBlock Origin at the Chrome extension site. Just saying, the built in ad blocker works fine for me.

I think it is a good idea. I wonder if it could be implemented with a simple selection of what time to start and what time to end and with choices to start at the beginning or end at the end so you could grab a segment from within the whole video or from the beginning to a point short of the end or ...
