Eliminate the possibility that they have only come up once. If it is a repeating situation then there is an issue with the method that is supposed to keep track of it so that it only happens once.

I changed my check interval to, "every run" and Beta
I got the notification of an update but I already have it installed

so, of course, to stop it until corrected just changed the interval to something greater than every run
