I always used CCleaner as my cookie-manager for Chrome and I wanted to keep doing that for Slimjet. I tried CCEnhancer, which made CCleaner recognize Slimjet, but it wouldn't let me keep the cookies I had selected. The solution was to make a hardlink. First uninstall "Google Chrome". Then ...

On startup Slimjet opens the specific page I set in settings, as it is supposed to do.
But when there is already an instance of Slimjet running and I start Slimjet in a new window, it will always open with the newtabpage.

Hi, I am using duckduckgo as a search machine and homepage instead of google, because of the obvious privacy reasons.
Can I go back to google again, (I still like their results more) or better stay with duckduckgo?
