You don't need Chromium installed and yes I get sound everywhere I've been to on the net.

I got me some sound in my slimjet!

I created in a text editor as root /etc/modprobe.d/default.conf

options snd_hda_intel index=1



Now I have a chromium volume stream when playing videos in youtube.

I've started calling it pornjet because you can watch all the porn you want and never have to worry about accidentally hitting volume control because nothing can be heard. LOL

Do you have pulseaudio enabled on your 64bit or are you using straight alsa?

I tested all of our Chrome based browsers with youtube and guess which browser was the only one without sound? Flashpeak Slimjet

NO SOUND on Linux with Flashpeak Slimjet 23.0.6.0. No pulseaudio stream ever shows up in the volume control. A few people have got sound to work by stripping out pulseaudio and using alsa only.

23.0.4.0, still no sound. You ain't gonna believe this but Slimjet started doing sign language instead of sound!

I am using the 64bit version of 22.0.4.0 and I have tried just about every libffmpeg.so that I can find into my /opt/slimjet folder. I get video but no sound at all. Can somebody send me a link to the working copy of libffmpeg.so?
