Re: Slimjet 32.0.2 won't install

For a while, I've had automatic updates turned off and used the offline install file.

It's the same with Brave, so I suspect a Chrome issue.

Re: Browser inventory. General discussion

Updating the full inventory. Brave -- My default browser and primary for business use. Not so clunky any more. Ad blocking much improved. Can handle torrents and play media from torrents in browser (hardly ever use this but nice to have). The 'Tor' feature is basically unusable, but I have Tor itsel...

Re: Browser inventory. General discussion

Not dramatically different in terms of RAM, though with a slight edge to Slimjet in this example. This is showing all processes not just the main one. https://i.imgur.com/ysjRB5t.jpg But I find myself having to wrestle with Slimjet after each new version. Re: Browser inventory. General discussion

Switching to Brave as my default browser (after their last update), but not getting rid of Slimjet.

Slimjet is getting rather feature rich for a browser pitched as "slim", but Brave is still a memory hog.

Re: Bookmarks Ruined

Before you do anything rash go here ...

chrome://bookmarks/

... and see what's there.

May you can rearrange things to your liking without zapping everything.

The two main folders should be "bookmarks bar" and "other bookmarks", plus whatever other folders you may have added.

Re: Bookmarks Ruined

I don't know exactly what you did, but to be on the safe side load all the pages in your reading list and save them as bookmarks one at a time, and then clear the reading list. After that, if you really want the reading list to go away forever and not just hide it: chrome://flags/ https://i.imgur.co...
