Re: slimjet 36.0.2.0 linux version youtube videos not loading
Brave is working perfectly and YouTube videos can be downloaded in seconds as opposed to ages with Slimjet. Not having to worry about installing libffmpeg.so, which requires root access, is a relief too. I don't think Slimjet is worth the trouble on Linux. Works okay on Windows, but I rarely boot in...

Re: slimjet 36.0.2.0 linux version youtube videos not loading
Everything is working fine and there is no need to bother with libffmpeg.so There are a lot of security options built-in, including ad blocking. The video downloader extension can be found at https://addoncrop.com/v2/youtube-downloader/ Just choose "Other Browsers". It is a two-step instal...

Re: slimjet 36.0.2.0 linux version youtube videos not loading
I have installed the Brave web browser and am in the process of adding my extensions. I even found one for downloading videos.
Everything is working perfectly, so I will most likely uninstall Slimjet on all my machines.

Re: slimjet 36.0.2.0 linux version youtube videos not loading
I am aware of that requirement and have tried the latest two versions, without success. I always install the latest version of libffmpeg.soJames Quadrat wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 7:09 am
If you are experiencing video playback problems with many other sites, it is likely that you don't have the correct libffmpeg decoder library installed.

Re: slimjet 36.0.2.0 linux version youtube videos not loading
I suggest you should do an official bug report. That means this form ==> https://www.slimjet.com/en/onlinefb.htm I have done this and there is still no response. It is not only YouTube videos that don't work with versions greater than 35.0.3, but videos on sites such as news sites. Why is this happ...

Re: Aw Snap on Linux with 34.x.x
Looks like you were correct.flobou5783 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 07, 2022 12:31 pmQuick guess, isn't that about having to reinstall the libffmpeg.so codecs library?
https://www.slimjet.com/en/libffmpeg.php
Upgraded Slimjet and used the latest version of libffmpeg.so and so far no Aw Snap.
Thanks for the tip.

Re: Aw Snap on Linux with 34.x.x
I usually update libffmpeg.so if videos stop playing. I keep the last version that worked. Never had it cause Aw Snap though, through it being out of date. I have downloaded the latest version and will try it anyway. Just means if it doesn't fix it, I have to go through the nausea of setting up all ...

Aw Snap on Linux with 34.x.x
I am running Kubuntu 20.04, 64 bit. Every time I install any of the 34.x.x updates, I get the dreaded Aw Snap failure on many sites. I have to reinstall 33.0.0 and lose all my site login details, because it says to select "No" to profile change - but there is only Cancel and Yes. Any ideas...

Outlook Email on Linux
Versions 28.x and 29.x cause the Outlook email site to constantly refresh, making it impossible to use for quite a while.
It eventually settles down, but then doesn't display new messages until I switch to a new tab, such as Junk email.
Reverting back to 27.x fixes the problem.
