Re: Being blocked from acknowledging cookies and more
In despair, I renamed my user folders so that Slimjet could not find them and then rebuilt my chosen options and settings again from scratch. I am not aware of any differences from what I had before, except that everything, as far as I am aware, now is working!

Re: auto-update
On all of this I was up to date except that I gather that even with the option for Slimjet to update, it only informs you when one is available and user intervention always still is necessary. If that is what people are criticising, then I agree with them.

Re: Being blocked from acknowledging cookies and more
Dev , you really are very knowledgeable and a great help. I just installed Slimjet on my second machine, an almost identical PC. On that, I installed from the first machine the identical User Data folder and was surprised to find that as a result I even had Adblock Plus and Prebake there without fu...

Re: Where are cookies located?
Thanks again dev.
Finally I have established that cookies are in
C:\Users\[User name]\AppData\Local\Slimjet\User Data\Default\Cookies
and that I can edit or delete cookies with Sqlitebrowser. However, blocking particular cookies will be the better solution, when it works to the desired effect.

Re: auto-update
I am a bit puzzled that some here appear to be saying that there are "a few major flaws at the moment, ... automated updates etc" as dev just did when you can set Slimjet to update never or whenever. For me one of the attractions is being able to choose, turn off updates and I hope it will...

Being blocked from acknowledging cookies and more
I would not be concerned if this only affects the one site but I imagine the same will sometimes happen elsewhere: On opening audi.co.uk a message comes up saying "This website uses cookies" but nothing happens when I click on "continue". Similarly, other responses fail making u...

Re: Where are cookies located?
Many thanks to everyone for their assistance. I think I have it sussed now. Yes, actually I did look in the right place, only I copied the path incorrectly somehow from someone else's text. I have never had google chrome on this machine. In the meantime I figured to try just as dev suggests, and ha...

Re: Where are cookies located?
I have already looked at C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Local Storage without success. If cookies are somewhere there, they are well hidden and not individually accessible. "how does deleting a cookie stop you visiting that website ? Wouldn't Blocking the ...

Where are cookies located?
It would be useful to know where and how cookies are stored. I want to be able to delete one of them from time to time as it prevents me using a particular website and deleting it solves the problem.
