38.0.7.0 thru at least 39.0.1.0: auto-hide (top) bookmark option visibility problem

Re: New version 38.0.0.0
That's a very good idea, but it's already white (bookmark_text": [ 255, 255, 255 ]). And it is white, except when it's in auto-hide mode, when it's overridden by this problem.

Re: New version 38.0.0.0
The 38.0.7.0 fix "Fix bookmark side bar background color so that it can follow theme color" seems to have had an effect on the normal top bookmark bar, too, which is fine (that corrects a bug which cropped up a few months ago), but unfortunately the color of the font in the bookmark bar ma...

Re: Did v37 change anything that would affect themes?
It seems to be related to bookmark autohide: if you disable that, the coloring is correct. An odd bug but a new one.
I think it's all added themes, since others I've tried, such as Slate, show the same issue.

Did v37 change anything that would affect themes?
Right away I noticed that the one I use (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/oceanic/gbbacdmgjdfajabgglpjifcedoajdimg) looks different now: the bookmark bar is a different shade than before. Not sure why that would be, since wouldn't that be fixed per the theme? To double-check, I tried it in ...

Re: hide side panel icon
It really used to be at chrome://flags/#side-panel (in Chromium) but now no longer is (even in Chrome) for whatever reason.
Maybe it'll end up like the Search Tabs button -- there whether you want it or not.

Re: Want Slimjet to go to version 99 of Chromium (Chrome)? Calm down!
That makes sense, since there's nothing relevant about v100 and this issue.
Manfifest v3 isn't going to be a potential issue for anyone this year. Google has already laid out the timetable.

Re: Want Slimjet to go to version 99 of Chromium (Chrome)? Calm down!
Just to avoid confusion, Manifest v2 will continue to be supported, even in Chrome, through the rest of the year. Also, I haven't heard that any of the major alternative browsers (Opera, Vivaldi, Brave, etc) have agreed to jettison it from the Chromium that they all use even then, and Slimjet certai...

Re: Version 33 general discussion.
Just a reminder that the ability to remove the "Search tabs" button (pictured in the middle of the screenshot wasting space) is no longer possible as of recent Chromiums, so if we're ever going to be able to do it again it's going to have to be a Slimjet toggle (or tighter spacing if that'...

Re: Version 32 general discussion
It's tended to work for me by just installing, though I've never attempted to go back more than one major version.
For example, going back to 31 from 32 because of the tab issue I mentioned a few posts up worked without incident.
