Re: Flash plugin [Slimjet 19.0.2.0]

That is not supposed to happen. I've a lot of emails through that mailbox every day. But as indicated by oftentired, you can send it through the online feedback page. I haven't received anything from you so far. We disabled the forum attachment at one point since there were some malicious attack on ...

Re: Flash plugin [Slimjet 19.0.2.0]

I am glad to hear that the problem is fixed. There is a [reset settings] button in the settings page. Maybe that will fix the problem as well. That should be easier than deleting the preference file. Now I am curious what goes wrong in the old preference file. If you still have that old preference i...

Re: Flash plugin [Slimjet 19.0.2.0]

Unfortunately, so far we have not been able to reproduce this issue on our side. Something worth trying: Remove the folder %AppData%\..\local\slimjet\User Data\PepperFlash . Then install flash again by visiting chrome://components and click "Check Update" under flash player section to install flash ...

Issue with automatic updater in 19.0.3

We have a bug with automatic updater in 19.0.3. When you were trying to update to 19.0.3 from an earlier version, the Slimjet Updater process (updater.exe) will be stuck forever. You need kill updater.exe from task manager and manually remove the update folder %appdata%\..\local\slimjet\user_data\up...

Re: Version 19: Blank buttons in extensions developer mode

I compared the memory usage of the same extensions for Slimjet 18 and 19. They did use similar amount of memory. Slimjet 19 uses slightly more. But I compared with the memory usage of the same extensions in Chrome 66 and it is about the same level. For example, the youtube auto hd extension uses abo...

With the native standard theme the three buttons have a white font color on a white background and these buttons are:
"load unpacked"
"pack extensions"
"update"

I can't upload a screenshot. There is no more upload button.
Issue confirmed. We will fix it.

Re: Slimjet is malware - proof

We have nothing to hide. Slimjet doesn't contain any virus or malware. But one or two false alarms happen all the time because Slimjet is an internet browser which downloads file from websites. By nature, many of the malware uses similar networking accessing code like Slimjet. There is nothing we ca...

Re: Slimjet downloads compromised??

I am pretty sure our download server is not compromised. There might be something else going on on your system. All our installers are protected by digital signatures. If it's compromised, you wouldn't see a valid digital signature. If digital signature is valid, Windows should show a blue dialog wi...

Alleviation solution regarding to the spectre/meltdown bug

In light of the recent bugs(Spectre & Meltdown) with Intel/AMD CPUs, Slimjet users can take the following action to alleviate the security issues caused by these bugs: Type chrome://flags/#enable-site-per-process into address bar and turn on the option "Strict Site Isolation". However, this feature ...
