When I update the portable version, I've been copying my 'User Data' folder into the folder of most recent version. Could that lead to any problems? Do you recommend a different procedure?

Note: Adding folders in the Bookmarks Manager does not cause SJ to crash.

I'm experiencing this problem also. It is not consistent as to what causes it. It might be related to the number of nested folders into which the new folder is being added. Perhaps the difference here is that you see it happening whereas w/Chrome you don't (unless you are using a bookmark extension). I've noticed that syncing noticeably slows Chrome's performance. Also, from the looks of the way the bookmarks update, it appears to be pretty inefficient.
