Re: Please help me so I can finally have a proper browser :(

Yes! I second the option for Vivaldi! Such an under-rated browser!!! Definitely give that one a try and see if you like it.

Re: Looking for suggestions for malware protection

Just note that VoodooShield does NOT scan for malware that might infect your computer, nor does it remove malware that is on your computer. With that being said, I suggest that you still have some sort of scanner that's running scans on your computer at least once a week. Malwarebytes Free edition w...

Re: Looking for suggestions for malware protection

Malwarebytes is typically only high on system resources when performing a scan. I haven't seen any huge slowdowns on my computer when using it in the background, but the absolute best form of malware protection is a full-blown security suite. Yes these cost money, but if you want the best then it's ...

Middle Mouse Click Considered a Pop-Up?

After updating to the latest version of SlimJet, it seems a new bug is introduced. Whenever I try to click on a link, ANY link using the middle mouse button in order to open said link in a new tab, it gets blocked as a pop-up. Does anyone know of a workaround until this gets fixed?

Thanks.

Re: uBlock Origin

I will see how Slimjet performs from here on in. If no joy, seemingly Opera is immune to this bug, so I might start using that as my default browser. I'd hate to use a tired analogy, but that's like putting a Band-Aid on cancer. If you have malware on your computer, then you want to remove it even ...

Re: uBlock Origin

I had not selected pop ups in settings and ad blocker and uBlockOrigin is on. I am using DuckDuckGo as my search engine. So: A. If I have some adware in my machine, I would like to delete it. So I guess I am appealing to any forum members familiar with Ubuntu 16.04 which Zorin 12 (which I use) is b...

Re: Several Questions

I don't think feelings have anything to do with development decisions. True, but they did say, Dare to Compare: http://u.cubeupload.com/Buzzed_Lightyear/DareToCompare.png So technically, I'm only doing what the developers told me to do. I'm comparing Slimjet to Internet Explorer and pointing out al...

Re: uBlock Origin

I am concerned with the random opening of a webpage - that is why I was asking for ideas about a solution. Most likely in Settings, under Tab Options, you have the setting checked to Open all pop up windows in a new tab Actually, he has adware installed on his computer. All I did was typed "tr...

Re: Several Questions

• Address bar, as far as I'm aware, no, we are stuck with it.

Again, another feature Internet Explorer has that Slimjet does not. Do the developers have no shame?
