This does appear to solve the problem on Ubuntu 16.04 1) Install Chrome 2) Take the file libffmpeg.so from /usr/lib/chromium-browser/ 3) Paste it to /opt/slimjet (overwrite the existing one) 4) Reboot In my case, I needed to install chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra and copy its libffmpeg.so file to /op...

Oops sorry I didn't see your last 2 messages (I didn't receive the notification e-mail, weird!). Yes I already tried to install chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra before using its libffmpeg.so to replace slimjet's in /opt/slimjet/ and... I should add that Ubuntu often displays an error popup when I get the Aw, Snap error, as if Slimjet closed (actually it does NOT close). Just tried it, no luck either. I'm not sure this would be related to DNS... to me, it seems like a library/plugin or javascript issue since it's triggered by audio/video playback or advanced features. Here's another example of "Aw, Snap" error: on https://www.telus.com/en/qc/mobility/acces...
