What's the point of posting bug reports if they are just going to be ignored? I'm done with slimjet.

SJ 6080 and 6090 Portable does not install.
Two in a row, SJ does not install. I extract to the current portable folder running 6070, then launch SJ, and it still says it is version 6070. What is going on? I've never had this problem before. Running on Win 8 32bit.

Code: Select all
"...some type of funding arrangement Slimjet has with certain companies."
"...some sort of revenue is being generated as a result."

Slimjet Portable 6080 Fails to Extract.
Downloaded the 6080 Portable version and tried to extract the files. Tons of error messages. Any other portable users encounter this?
I retested with 6070 portable and all works well. Something is wrong with 6080.

Re: No notification about updates?
Same thing happening here on both Windows and Linux versions. Set to check for updates every start, but the notifications never happen. I've had to start checking the site from time to time to see if SJ has been updated.

Re: [Request] Stop Auto Population of Toolbar
I completely agree. This feature is not a convenience, it's an annoyance.Knowthought wrote:Seconded, this is very annoying when you like your toolbar a certain way.

Re: The next google incursion
Thanks for that link paul. I do have a gmail account, but it makes me wonder how that feature would affect people who use Chrome/Chromium and use Outlook, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc., and not gmail as their primary email provider. ...hmm It seems like data would be collected with no way for the user to ver...

Re: The next google incursion
At this time, our version of Chromium does not have this setting, or presumably, the extension/plugin or whatever it is. It would be quite some time before that feature would show up in a stable build. By the time it gets to stable, I'm sure the Slimjet folks will know how to handle it. ;) That art...

Re: Cannot Set Slimjet As Default
Hi lee1762. I've got Slimjet on Xfce and LXDE, but I'm not familiar with KDE. Does KDE have a feature something like "Prefered Applications" where you can set your default browser?
