- Slimjet simply does not update.

1- I click on the top bar ribbon and a file shows up (sjt7z_x86_console.exe) - when I click on install, my Windows 10 says "This app is not compatible with your machine", and then "File failed to extract Slimjet file"...

2- Then, a ms-dos console opens up with this text:

Should I download the last Slimjet update file from this site, and then just replace the slimjet.exe in my old Slimjet installation folder??

I suggest you try the offline installer.

go to the Settings > Product homepage then click the Download link and then download the offline installer.

Hello, I have installed it and you have not presented that problem, perhaps the file arrived corrupt on your pc. But updating online or offline works

I don´t see a "Product homepage" section in my Settings... (EDIT: its´in the Help section.)

SOLVED: installed through the last Offline version, everything went OK. Thanks, oftentired.

Now that this last version works OK, can I just delete my old folder where Slimjet was previously installed?

Yes, if you have the portable version, you should be able to delete the previous version installation folder without issues.
