[Feature Request] Single instance

Post by KenStratton »

I would love to have an option in the settings to allow only one instance of Slimjet to run.

There is actually only a single instance of Slimjet which contains multiple processes. If you are talking about single process for all the tabs, that's not supported in slimjet.

Sorry, I should have been clearer. Only allow one window. If someone clicks again on the shortcut in the quick launch toolbar (or in start menu or on the desktop), open the Slimjet application that's already running instead of running the application again.

I see what you mean. That sounds a like a reasonably useful option. We will add it to the list.

You get a similar way if you pin slimjet to taskbar in windows 7 and have taskbar buttons never combine for a quick fix. Just remove shortcuts from desktop then.

It is now nearly 3 years later and I am still unable to find a setting for "Single instance only" Am I missing it or has it never been implemented?
