Does Including Slimjet Brand Name In User String Help?

Post by Buzzed Lightyear »

As the titles says, I'm curious if allowing the setting for the Slimjet Brand name to be included in the user string actually helps with exposure to the Slimjet project. Obviously it probably isn't going to be as effective as word-of-mouth, but every little bit helps. So is it helpful or not?

Thanks.

Then out of curiosity, what is the function of that setting?

I don't know why this option is available. I can make a few guesses.

The average user would have no use for this, but it probably shows up on server statistics somewhere.

And perhaps the only reason for a normal user to do anything with it would be if someone gets a lot of messages from a particular website telling you to upgrade or use another browser, then checking or unchecking this option may help with that annoyance.
